I was born in a small gold mining town in the heart of South Africa.
During my school years much of my time was spent practicing my craft and entertaining class mates with funny cartoons. In grade 8, I illustrated my first comic strip book. I left school early and spent the next two years in the military as a pathfinder for a parachute battalion. Afterwards, I back-packed across Europe and around the Mediterranean for several years were I met my wife, Eilat, my compass north.

.

Studied
fine art, Technical Drawing, Graphic Airbrushing and Animation, finally
gravitating to Cartooning. I Published a book of collective
cartoons, as well as strip comics for Editorials. Many of my elaborate cartoon
puzzle masterpieces have been published by Heye, Ravensburger and Educa Boras.
Now published by CEACO USA and RGS Group South Africa.

In the past I would paint mainly with liquid Acrylic and use gentle airbrush overtones to add a smooth touch to my paintings.
Today all my cartoons are hand drawn and finished in Photoshop.

I observe people, things people do and the things that people make.
This and the desire to see just how accurately I can copy the 'split second' image that comes into my mind, is the driving force that keeps me constantly seeking new ideas.

Cartoons offer a distraction from reality.
Providing a safe refuge that enables you to laugh in the face of adversity
and turn what could be the dark side of day to day life into a 'sunny side up'.
